Bartolome Island
Bartholomew is the home of Pinnacle Rock. It's an extinct volcano that has a variety red, orange and black volcanic formations. The summit of the volcano is reached via a trail of stairs that offers one of the most spectacular views of the islands. This beach is ideal for snorkeling, and you may be able to spot the Galapagos penguin.Santiago Island: Bahia Sullivan
Coral beach landings lead you to lava fields as far as your eye can see. For signs of plant life, hunt and peck the two types of lava pahoehoe or 'a'a that have emerged in the 100 years since the last volcanic eruption. It's a truly incredible volcanic experience...up close! Day 3: South Plazas Island & Santa Fe Island
South Plazas Island
You will travel to South Plaza Island in the morning. This tiny island is surrounded by steep cliffs and was created by rising lava. Opuntia cacti. It also houses one of the largest colonies of sea lions and colorful yellow-red land iguanas. It is home to the most distinctive plant, Sesuvium . Its color changes from a greenish-yellowish tone in the rainy season to a bright red in the dry season (end June through January). . Day 4: San Cristobal Island: Witch Hill & Pitt Point
Witch Hill
This eroded hill is located on the northern coast and surrounds one of the most beautiful beaches in Galapagos. Its white powdery sand, and abundance of wildlife make it one of the most scenic beaches in the country. You will find sea turtles, rays and many types of booby bird species. You can enjoy swimming and snorkeling in the clear waters.Pitt Point
The island's northeastern tip is home to storm petrels and frigatebirds. It also hosts all three types booby birds, the Nazca, red-footed, and blue-footed. The trail climbs up a steep cliff to reach a ravine, where there are many birds. The site is great for snorkeling or scuba diving. Day 5: San Cristobal Island & Transfer out
This new site is located in the northeastern part of San Cristobal Island. It can be reached by car in approximately one hour from Puerto Baquerizo Moreno. The Breeding Center will allow you to observe hatchling turtles, from their birth to 120 days after their maturity.
