Genovesa and Centras Islands


Day 1: San Cristobal island:Lobos Island & Kicker Rock

Welcome aboard the M/T Horizon to the Galapagos Islands. Upon your arrival, the crew and guide will meet you and take you to your accommodation. After you arrive, the guide will brief you on safety and emergency procedures, as well as the different areas of the ship and the usual routine.

Lobos Island

Lobos Island is named after the many sea-lions that live here, resting or playing on the rocky shores. There are many birds that call it home, including pelicans and frigate birds, yellow warblers, and nests for their nests. The channel is small and clear. This makes it easy for you to spot sea turtles, sea-lions, stingrays, or even white-tipped sharks within the channels.

Kicker Rock

Kicker rock, which is made up of two volcanic cones eroded from the ground and standing 104m above the sea, is one of the most spectacular sites in Galapagos Islands. This is the ideal spot to witness incredible underwater life in Galapagos.

Day 2: San Cristobal island: Witch Hill & Pitt Point

Pitt Point

It will almost feel like you have landed on an extraterrestrial world when you arrive at Pitt Point. It is possible to see how the island has changed over time. The views from the top of the island are breathtaking. Once you reach the island's top, be sure to keep an eye out on blue-footed and red-footed bobies nests.

Witch Hill

Your guide and crew will take you along a panga to show you the amazing rock formations created by erosion and time. Finally, you'll arrive at a sandy beach with beautiful white sand to swim or relax in the sun. You can either swim with the sea lions or walk along the entire beach.

Day 3: Española island: Gardner Bay, Osborn Islet & Gardner Bay

Suarez Point

This nesting area is the only one in Galapagos that the Waved Albatross can nest. They only return to the same mate once per year. The rest of the year they spend at sea. These amazing birds can also be seen along with the Galapagos Hawks, and the incredible formations and blow hole that can be found on the other side. This island is reached via a hike.

Gardner Bay & Osborn Islet

Gardner Bay offers a great place to watch sea lions relaxing on the shore while mockingbirds come up to steal water and crumbs. The mockingbird has been fed water and food over time. They are now comfortable walking on your stuff or landing right next to you. It is important to not touch or feed the animals. It can cause disruption in their normal behavior and even threaten their future.

Day 4: Santa Cruz Island & Bartolome island

Santa Cruz: Bachas Beach

Bachas beach is characterized by its beautiful blue and green waters, which contrast with the black lava shores. Many shorebirds fly in the air looking for food. You can also explore the sand dunes on the shore and discover a saltwater lagoon with more pink flamingos.

Bartolome Island

The island is known for its unique terrain and remnants of volcano cones. To see all of Sullivan Bay, you can hike up to the top at a lookout point. There are likely to be lava lizards or other seabirds flying high above.

Day 5: Rabida island & Santiago island

Rabida Island

The iron content makes this visitor site unique. It has a distinct red gravel beach with a distinctive appearance. Here you can snorkel with amazing tropical fish. People love to stroll along the beaches, taking in the sights, and also visiting the black lagoon filled with pink flamingos.

Santiago Island: Egas Port

The James Bay visitor site is also known by that name. It is home to Galapagos Hawks, lava Lizards, and trails that lead to beautiful tide pools with lots of fauna. You can also see fur seals that are different from common sea lions.

Day 6: Genovesa island: Darwin Bay & El Barranco

Darwin Bay

You will find a trail through mangroves that leads to a white sand coral beach. This trail is home to many species of land birds, including the famous blue-footed and red boobies. The hike ends with tidal pool where sea lions can be seen swimming freely. Finally, the view from the cliff is spectacular.

El Barranco

El Barranco is also known by the Prince Philip's Steps. It's located in Darwin's Bay, it is an amazing spot. You will need to climb a rocky crevasse to enjoy the stunning views. It is the only place where you can see all three species of boobies, along with the short-eared Owl.

Day 7: Mosquera islet & Santa Cruz Island: Highlands

Mosquera Islet

A coral reef is located between the islands North Seymour and Baltra. The volcanic eruption made the islet narrower than it was at its widest point, measuring only 160 meters. It is home to many shorebirds and has one of the highest populations of sea lions. Sometimes, orcas may be seen fishing off the shoreline.

Santa Cruz: Highlands

Santa Cruz's northernmost part contains the highlands, which can rise to elevations of up to 1500m. The area is home to many wildlife, including ferns, volcanoes, and hills. This is a stark contrast to the hardened beaches of molten volcanic lava and the rocky areas on other islands. There are giant tortoises and mockingbirds there, as well as finches, and many other species.

Day 8: North Seymour Island

The rocky coast of North Seymour is home to colonies of blue-footed bobies and majestic frigatebirds. Submarine lava from the ocean floor formed the island, carrying layers of sediment that was uplifted by tectonic activity. Most of the island's vegetation is arid.

You will be transferred back to Baltra Airport after your final visit.
